Renee Shaffer has been a NCBTMB nationally certified massage therapist/bodyworker (http://www.ncbtmb.org/) for over 13 years. She is licensed in the state of South Carolina #2626. In addition, Ms. Shaffer has a M.Ed. in Educational Administration and a PhD. (ABD) in Higher Education Administration with a cognate in Public Health. She is highly regarded for her clinical work as well as in her teaching. She is a senior instructor of massage therapy, anatomy and physiology, structural anatomy, and clinical neuromuscular therapy at the Southeastern Institute in Columbia, SC. She prides herself with keeping current with trends in bodywork and human anatomy/medical research as it pertains to massage therapy and trains with the industry's experts. The study of Eastern modalities of massage therapy including Oriental Bodywork, Acupressure, Tuina Na, and Ayurveda is of special interest.
